North Carolina Guardian ad Litem (GAL) equips community volunteers to serve abused and neglected children by advocating for their best interests in court.
The Guardian ad Litem Program currently needs volunteers in Jackson County, and a new training class is beginning this month, September 2016. The GAL program recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer advocates to conduct independent studies for the court in cases where children have been alleged to be abused or neglected.
