Throughout October, we will dedicate a moment in the service to place an emphasis on stewardship centered on the Gospel readings for October that moves from what God has entrusted to us, to our participation in the life of the church, to the place of our resources in discipleship, and finally to the love of God and neighbor that gives stewardship its purpose.

October 4th – Entrusted

What fruit are we helping to bear?
God has entrusted this church and its ministry to us for this season, and each of us has a part in helping it bear fruit.
This week, we highlight the Wesley Foundation. God has planted this church alongside WCU, and ministry with students is part of the particular vineyard entrusted to us.
Matthew 21:33–46

October 11th – Invited

Will we show up?
God invites us not simply to belong to the church, but to participate in its ministries through our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
Within our Perennials group, showing up for one another creates relationship, belonging, and community. In the Neighbors Helping Neighbors ministry, when needs arise, people respond by showing up with their time, abilities, and resources to care for one another.
Matthew 22:1-14

October 18th – Given

What belongs to God?
Because our whole lives belong to God, how we use our money and resources is part of our discipleship rather than something separate from it.
What we give becomes something: money, space, time, staff, and volunteers that then becomes ministry that loves children and supports families.
Matthew 22:15–22
