United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)

The church currently has two youth groups, one comprised of grades 6 through 8 (Junior UMYF) and the other of grades 9 through 12 (Senior UMYF). The Senior Highs meet Sundays 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the Junior Highs meet 6-7:30 p.m. for recreation, music and study. All youth, whether members or not, are welcome. Meet at the church unless otherwise announced.

The Youth are looking for ways to serve our church family this summer. They can paint, do yard work, clean, clean gutters and shop. Please contact the church office if you need some help.

In September both youth groups went to the Alpine Tower in Bryson City, NC.  They had a day of challenges and triumphs.

The youth sponsored a Coffee House Fundraiser March 2009.  The proceeds go toward their mission trip to Puerto Rico, July 7-15, 2009.  They are very talented in their leadership, music, athletic and service outreach abilities.


Activities Summer 2009

The Youth going on the Puerto Rico Mission Trip will meet a few times in June before the trip.   Senior and Junior High Youth Group will not meet on a regular basis again until August.
