VBS is collecting food for the

“Food for Kids” program at the

Community Table this year

as their mission project.

If you can help provide some of these items, please bring them to church by Tues. July 14.

Canned ravioli, spaghetti, etc.
Soups, dry and canned
Oatmeal packets
Cereal bars, granola, etc.
Beanee weenees
Snack crackers (individual packets)
Boxed fruit drinks
Pop tarts
Ramen noodles
Snack-size popcorn, nuts, or seeds
Mac & cheese (individual servings, Easy Mac)
Vienna sausages
Applesauce
Fruit cups
Dried fruits
Trail mixes
Pudding cups
Tuna lunch packets
Aseptically-sealed milk (available at Sam’s Club)
Individual serving size vegetables
Peanut butter
Anything “kid-friendly”, nutritious, nonperishable, and single-serving

River Baptisms

Each year, we offer people an opportunity to be baptized in moving water. There will be a baptism Sunday, July 19, after the 11:00 a.m. worship service at East Laporte Park. It is a brief service, and we would love for you to come. Also, if anyone wants to be baptized in the Tuckasegee River, please contact David Reeves (293-9215) and let him know.

Guatemalan Children’s Clothing Drive

The Wesley Foundation is collecting clothing and toys for malnourished infants and children in a residential clinic in Rabinal, Guatemala. Clothing in sizes infant through size 5 are needed. The items may be left in the Covenant Room before Sunday, August 2. Postage donations may be left in the church office.
