Loss is both a universal and a deeply personal experience. The Pathways
Through Loss retreat will be an exploration of the nature of loss, how we face
it or avoid it, and some of the ways that we walk (or run) through it. Join us for
this weekend of insightful reflection, thoughtful learning, and spiritual growth.

On Sun. June 3, The Dillsboro Rafting Company will offer a boat of your choice for a self-guided trip on theTuckaseigee River for ten cans of food. Nick Bruckner, our Duke Intern the summer of 2010, and his wife Nikki are off on a new Alaskan adventure and ministry. They will serve with Covenant Youth of Alaska (CYAK), a missions organization that works through local churches to bolster their outreach to Alaska Native youth, emphasizing leadership development. You Can Change a Lifetime!

All children deserve a safe, happy life. The Children’s Home is in need of new foster parents. Our communities are taking custody of more and more children and we have not been able to respond to this need with the current foster families we have. As in the past, we are hoping our Methodist Churches will “respond to the call!” You have always been a wonderful source of individuals, couples and/or families who share our values. Young people right here in our own communities are in dire need of nurturing adults because their own families are in crisis and unable to care for them. 24 hour support, financial reimbursement, and excellent training provided. The Altar Flower List for 2012 is now posted in the hallway downstairs. If you would like to sign up for flowers, please sign up on the list and indicate if they are in memory or in honor of someone. Most people call a florist, and the florist delivers the flowers. During the summer, some people give flowers from the gardens.
