The pregnancy Care Center in Cullowhee offers support to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Local financial support helps them meet this need. The Youth are looking for ways to serve our church family this summer. They can paint, do yard work, clean, clean gutters and shop. Please contact the church office if you need some help.

Children preschool age on up are invited to CUMC’s VBS “Power Lab- Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power”. CUMC is collecting receipts from Harold’s Supermarket, Sylva.  A collection box is in the church office.  The church will receive a 1% rebate from all purchases which will be given to our local ministries, United Christian Ministries, Needy families, Hispanic ministry and the Food Bank.

Seven college students and seven members of the church flew to Salt Lake City, Utah and did community service for senior citizens in Dubois, Wyoming and Casper, Idaho but saved a little fun time for Yellowstone National Park, May 10-17.

The United Methodist Men are selling pine straw bales. The cost for 1-10 bales is $5.00 and more than 10 bales is $4.75. Please call the church office, 293-9215 if you would like them delivered. Jim Wallace, Dan Pittillo or Roger Turk will deliver them.
