Cullowhee United Methodist Church

Most of the pictures are from the 1950s.  There are a few pictures from the Cullowhee Methodist Episcopal South Church, built in 1912, and  located where Breese Gym now stands.  The college  bought the church and land in 1935.  The church was torn down and some of the lumber was used to build the parsonage in 1936, just down the road.  Next to the parsonage, from June 1- September 1, 1936,  the current brick structure (sanctuary, 7 rooms and a kitchen) was built in 90 days.  Please watch the slide show and enjoy a few chuckles.
