The Community Table wants to get away from Styrofoam to-go containers, but research though we have, we have yet to find good, biodegradable to-go containers that we can afford without cutting irresponsibly deep into our food budget. Thus we have created an AMAZON WISH LIST for items we would rather be using. Should anyone be so inclined, we would be ever so grateful for any help in making this shift.

“VEGWARE!  This natural material has great thermal properties. Freezer and microwave safe. Bagasse is recycled sugarcane fiber. Tree-free. Great thermal properties. Doesn’t trap condensation, so hot food stays crispy. Great from 5ºF to 428ºF. Our award-winning compostable catering disposables are low carbon, made from renewable or recycled materials, and all can be commercially composted with food waste where facilities exist. We only use eco-friendly recycled or renewable materials and maintain a sustainable and audited supply chain with full traceability. Our eco commitment is recognized by dozens of sustainability awards including the Queen’s Award, presented to Vegware by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, London. Vegware products either have independent compostability certification to show they can break down in under 90 days in industrial composting or we have conducted extensive trials in organics recycling facilities. Our products hold the market’s most comprehensive food safety certification.”
