GUARDIAN AD LITEM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.  A training class will start Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Jackson Co. Department of Social Services.  Guardian ad Litem volunteers are needed to advocate in court for abused and neglected children.  As a Guardian ad Litem volunteer, you can make a difference in the life of a child by spending a few hours each week advocating on his/her behalf. 

Our class is a 30-hour training program that prepared you to advocate for the children in the court system.  You will work with a wonderful supervisor, an attorney advocate, and other volunteers as you team to help meet the needs of the children.

Requirements are simple-a heart to help children.  No special education is required other than this class.  Training is FREE.
