Thank you so much for your generosity. So far almost $10,000 has been donated from our church family for UMCOR.  All of this money will go entirely to disaster relief on the ground in Haiti. UMCOR will be able to convert that money into food and medicine.   Those are the things that are needed the most right now. No money in this disaster will go for administrative costs of any kind. We will continue to collect money through February.

In the future our churches will send building teams, food, and clothing. Right now however, Haiti relief organizations like UMCOR need money.

In the new few weeks, UMCOR will let us know about more opportunities to help Haiti.

On January 24,  Youth in our Waynesville District packaged UMCOR “Health Kits” for Haiti.  UMCOR has received an overwhelming response to this immediate need.  Kits are on their way to Haiti now, where they will help brighten a person’s outlook when able to brush their teeth, bathe with soap and a clean washcloth and towel, use Bandaids to cover cuts and trim fingernails.   Thank you to our Youth who helped to make a difference.
